Our Story
Where culture, memory and emotion converge.
The Designer
Laone Kaelo Rahele
he/him
Founder & Creative Director
Laone Kaelo Rahele is a Botswana-born jewellery designer whose practice sits at the intersection of fine craft, cultural memory, and contemporary form. Trained in Milan and shaped by years working alongside some of the world's most respected jewellers — including a formative period with De Beers in London — Laone returned to Botswana to found Rahele Jewellery with a singular conviction: that African stories deserve to be told in gold and silver.
His work draws on the landscapes, symbols, and living traditions of Southern Africa, translating them into pieces of quiet power. Each commission begins with a conversation — an act of listening that Laone considers as essential to the craft as the bench work itself.
Laone is a recipient of the Shining Light Awards and a participant in Milano Jewelry Week 2026. He is based between Gaborone and London.

What guides us
Three principles behind every piece
01
Heritage
Every design draws from a living archive of cultural memory — patterns, symbols and forms that carry meaning across generations.
02
Intimacy
We begin with a conversation. Your story, your occasion, your vision — these are the materials we work with first.
03
Craft
From first sketch to final polish, each piece is made to order with the finest materials and an uncompromising attention to detail.
Begin
Every piece begins with a conversation.
Tell me your story and I'll craft something that carries it forward.
